Issue Forum Series
Since 2000, our collaboration with Howard University's Ralph Bunche International Affairs Center to organize the Issue Forum Series has created a medium for timely discourse.
Our most recent Issue Forums were: "Evaluating the Progress of Education in Africa: Different Perspectives," done in partnership with Georgetown University and the World Cocoa Foundation on November 5, 2007; and more recently, "Democracy Threatened: The Legitimacy of Elections in Africa," done in partnership with the Ralph Bunch International Affairs Center on March 12, 2008.
In the past, sessions have covered topics like "The Bifurcation of the African Continent: Bridging the Divide between North and sub-Saharan Africa," "Zimbabwe: Post Election Crisis," "Agriculture, the Key to Africa's Growth and Prosperity," "The War on Terrorism: Its Impact and Implications for Africa" and "The U.S. and China: Vying for Africa's Burgeoning Market."
