Conversation and Dinner with African Ambassador Series
Conversations and Dinner with African Ambassadors provides a forum for African Ambassadors to dialogue with policy makers and the media about the foreign policy objectives of their respective countries. The Africa Society launched this new program on Capitol Hill in 2006, providing African Ambassadors a platform for open discussions with members of Congress and the media about issues pertaining to the foreign policies of their countries and the US, including misperceptions they would like to correct and steps they wish to take for improved bilateral relations. This initial program was co-chaired by Senator Richard Lugar and Congressman Donald Payne, and featured Nigeria’s Ambassador George Obiozior.
The fourth of the "Conversation and Dinner with African Ambassador Series" will feature:
Her Excellency Josephina Diakite Ambassador to Washington from the Republic of Angola
