The Africa Society is determined to maintain its role as leading contributor in the effort to educate all Americans about Africa, and to continue to aid in the sociopolitical development of the continent by providing strategic and vital information to policymakers and stakeholders in hopes of stimulating positive action. The Society will also continue the legacy of unprecedented national awareness of US-Africa policy (which was put in place by The National Summit on Africa) through numerous informational and educational activities.
To achieve the above, we focus on our principal program initiatives, which are:
- Teach Africa
- The Ambassador Andrew Young Lecture Series on Africa
- Conversations and Dinner with African Ambassadors
- The Presidential Tours of Africa Series
- Visionaries Awards Luncheon
- Issue Forum Series
In addition to these programs the Africa Society and its partners are working on developing new programs. Please read more about these programs.
