The last of the Conversation with African Poets and Writers series for Spring was held on June 10, 2014 at the Library of Congress. The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa in collaboration with the African and Middle Eastern Division of the Library of Congress hosted Ms. Zainab Hassan from Somalia. Ms. Hassan is a Somali poet and a writer, and the Project Director of the National Library Initiative of the Heritage Institute for Policy Studies in Mogadishu.
Ms. Hassan read excerpts from her book and later, she was interviewed by Ms. Eve Ferguson, the Reference Librarian for East Africa, in the African and Middle Eastern Division, on her writings and poetry.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
