Chevron: Corporate Citizen of the Month for February

The Africa Society proudly features Chevron as its Corporate Citizen of the Month. Chevron, the second-largest energy company in the United States and among the largest corporations in the world, is committed to being an excellent partner. Chevron's commitment to corporate social responsibility positively impacts the communities in which it works. As a longstanding partner and founding contributor to The Africa Society, Chevron has supported our mission to be the premiere entity that engages and educates Americans about Africa and creates through partnerships a better understanding of its people, diverse cultures, histories, and economies. The continued support of our initiatives demonstrates Chevron's dedication to philanthropy.
Our partnership with Chevron has furthered our work of forging an increased awareness of Africa in America. Chevron's contributions have helped to introduce and support current African curriculum initiatives in American schools through our "Teach Africa" program. One of our most important programs, "Teach Africa", has the ability to transform negative stereotypes about Africa. Chevron's involvement with education and Africa will surely strengthen the global community in this 21st century.
